Huddersfield Narrow Canal, a waterway of startling
contrasts, from tranquil countryside to dramatic mills. |
| The canal reopened in 2001 following a 20
year restoration programme and is the
highest, longest, and deepest canal
tunnel
in the country. |
| We’ve a
fun-packed programme this season ranging from
Falconry to Roses and Castles; an opportunity to get
tuition from Ashley Jackson in person; a chance to
‘strut your mut’ with The Blue Cross; nature walks with
our environment team, or find out about your roots with
our Family History event; and finally to end our season,
join a spooky experience at Standege.
