VISITOR INFORMATION
The picturesque town of Marsden offers shops, pubs,
market and craft stores.
Nearby, beautiful Marsden Moor (National Trust)
is a wonderful area for walking, angling, cycling and
wildlife.
4 miles down the road lies the
Colne Valley Museum, a folk museum set in a group of
former weavers cottages. It contains a wide variety of
items of local interest and occasional live
demonstrations, including clog making and spinning. Open
weekends only.
Just 7 miles away is the Uppermill
Museum, and also the village of Holmfirth,
the picturesque base for the TV series ‘Last of the
Summer Wine’.

Access
Wheelchair access is available to the glass roofed
boats, the Visitor Centre and toilets, and there is a
dedicated car park for blue badge holders.
