Free parking is available in the car park next to Marsden railway station (just out of the village centre) and next to the National Trust information point. The site is just a 15 minute walk along the towpath of the beautifully restored Huddersfield Narrow Canal. There is limited parking for blue badge holders at the visitor centre but anyone with special needs should ring in advance for advice on 01484 844 298.



Water taxi: Huddersfield Canal Society run a water taxi service between Marsden Railway Station and Standedge at weekends and bank holidays (subject to volunteer availability). A small charge is made for this service. Visit www.huddersfieldcanal.com or call 01457 871800.

Disabled Access

Wheelchair access is available to the glass roofed boats, the Visitor Centre and there are disabled toilets located on site. We also have a dedicated car park for blue badge holders directly on site. Due to the site’s historical nature, access may be difficult for certain people, so please telephone 01484 844 298 during opening hours to discuss your needs
